Kevin,
I want you to know how much Sensory has helped Butler this week. On Monday, in our large classroom Jordan Hall 141 the AMX touch panel would not function! YIKES!! This room is used 5-7 times a day mainly by our College of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy faculty depend upon this technology for instruction.
To try and fix the problem, we tried the usual reboot without any success. So, I sent Earl and Roger an email explaining the situation. Your Help Desk IMMEDIATELY called me to see what needed to be done. Because classes are scheduled back to back, it is difficult to get a technician in the room to check it. The room became available at 4:30 and Chris Stansbury came out to work on the problem. Shortly after that, Mike Hurst came out to lend a hand. After some time, it was determined that the processor was the problem (now that’s a problem!). It was 9:00pm Monday.
I left that evening tired and dejected. On Tuesday morning, I got a call that your shop had an Extron processor and that after reprogramming, it could be installed that afternoon. GREAT! Chris and Mike came out again, installed it, tested it, and everything worked. Again, it was a long day for them!
To make this long story come to an end, I want you to know how much I appreciated all the work Sensory did for Butler to get this important room back up and running in a short period of time! It took a lot of effort on the part of many Sensory people. Without all their efforts, many, many hours of instruction would have been affected.
Here’s a list of the people I know who had a hand in this. Please let them know how grateful I am for their work! There are maybe others that I am not aware of who had a hand.
Earl Almack
Roger Mikels
Chris Stansbury
Gary Cummins
Mike Hurst
Chris Fredrick
Again, many thanks!
Barry
