New Director of Channel will drive opportunities through qualified VARs.
Indianapolis, IN (January 4, 2010) – Sensory Technologies, a leader in videoconference and collaborative audio-visual solutions, today introduced its new mobile video conferencing product Meeting on the Move™ to be sold via their newly formed channel business unit for value-added resellers (VARs), system integrators and independent IT consulting firms focused on developing business within the Americas. At a time when managers are challenged with decreasing the cost of doing business and meeting revenue objectives, this select group of resellers will deliver Sensory Technologies’ efficient and cost-effective solutions to organizations.
“The channel sales program will significantly increase our market penetration by authorizing channel partners to resell Meeting on the Move™, the most advanced video communication product on the market,” said Derek Paquin, Principal of Sensory Technologies. “Sensory Technologies is a recognized and trusted brand that resellers can leverage across industries, and our world-class support structure through our Network Operations Center ensures that partners can stay focused on meeting the needs of their clients. By implementing a channel-neutral model and investing our development efforts into toplevel industry resellers, we’ve created a win-win dynamic for us, our partners and our clients.”
“We have developed a mobile video conferencing solution in the unified communications area called Meeting on the Move™ that essentially turns any laptop or desktop into a $20,000 video conference room with content sharing for only $149 per month. This is a product that a reseller can present to their clients that will bring organizations closer together via visual communication, additionally, helping their client decrease the amount of money they are spending on necessary meetings to do business,” said Ben Miller, Director of Channel Development. “Our model is unique in that the reseller will see an increase in commission each month from incremental revenue and the client will see their business costs decrease.”
Video conferencing has taken a dramatic increase in usage with the current economic down turn. Businesses instead of paying high airfares and gas prices for meetings are now looking at a cost effective solution to do business. Interactive Data Corporation’s (IDC) QuickPoll eVideo Survey found that 75% of companies currently use videoconferencing as a communication tool and 80% of those companies plan on increasing their videoconference usage. The key reason for the use of enterprise video adoption by these companies was due to cost savings.

How secure is this service? If a medical practitioner was using it to discuss a medical situation with a specialist, would the transmission meet the requirements of CCHIT in regards to HIPAA Privacy requirements and HITECH security requirements?
Please let me know. If the answer is yes, are you open to discussions as to a referral or marketing fee for clients we possibly could bring to you,
Look forward to your reply: MIke Murphy

Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay in your comment. Your message was lost in our WP area. Yes the service is AES encrypted technology so the discussions on those regulatory areas are covered. We currently have several large hospitals use our service. This type of technology falls in the realm of Telemedicine. I would be open to discuss payouts on referrals. Please let me know a good time to speak via the phone.
