HIVE: The Human Interactive Virtual Environment (HIVE) features an oversized interactive video wall that can be used for immersive experiences, including virtual tours, virtual meetings, augmented reality, virtual reality and virtual collaboration with co-workers and clients in different locations.

Huddle Room: By equipping team members with the advanced technology that facilitates active collaboration, organizations can use the Huddle Room to encourage spontaneous, small-group collaboration. The space includes video conference solutions, interactive boards and monitors.

Through hands-on experiences, visitors to Sensory Technologies new space also are learning:

  • Techniques that help them envision and plan solutions for their own work environments.

Psychologist Talks About How to Embrace Change in a Rapidly Changing Workplace

March 22, 2018 by Nate Torvik

NEWS RELEASE

March 15, 2018

INDIANAPOLIS – Rarely does anyone want to do a “happy dance” when asked to make a significant change in the way they do things. Yet, today’s employees regularly face that challenge in a rapidly evolving, technology-focused work environment.

As part of a luncheon hosted by IndyCREW, Stephanie R. Stilson, PhD, EMBRACE™ Strategist for Sensory Technologies, will speak on “Embracing Change, Enhancing Your Business Culture.” The event is 11:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m., April 17 at the Marriott North in Indianapolis.

“With the introduction of new technologies in the workforce, effective change management has emerged as one of the most important goals organizations face,” said Stilson, a cognitive development psychologist. “It’s also one of the most challenging. There’s a natural tendency for us to perceive change negatively – even when we realize it’s for our own good.”

Stilson will discuss how organizations can gain a broader understanding of how to apply change management more effectively, while keeping in mind the factors that cause employees to resist change in workflows, strategies, technologies and other workplace initiatives.

As an EMBRACE™ Strategist for Sensory Technologies, Stilson uses her psychology background to consult organizations on how to embrace the changes that must take place to stay competitive in the future. She focuses on the communication strategies that will help define organizational success. Sensory Technologies specializes in emergent visual technology, including digital signage, videoconferencing, collaboration experiences and audiovisual solutions, that amplifies organizational collaboration and enhances engagement with internal and external audiences.

IndyCREW, a resource and referral network in commercial real estate, is an affiliate chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Women Network.

To register for the luncheon hosted by Indy Crew, go to indycrew.org/events/luncheon. The fee is $55 for non-members and $40 for members. For more information about Sensory Technologies, visit sensorytechnologies.com.

Sensory Technologies execs to speak at global conference hosted by IFMA

March 16, 2018 by Derek Paquin

CHICAGO – As part of a conference on modern workplace environments, Sensory Technologies is hosting a presentation on how employers can more effectively engage a multi-generational workforce through technology and innovative strategies.

The IFMA Facility Fusion Conference & Expo, which is March 20-22 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago, also features sessions on innovative workplace design, technology trends and effective outsourcing. IFMA is the largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals.

Sensory Technologies’ John Brisk, Business Development Manager for Advanced Visualization Collaboration, and Stephanie Stilson, PhD, EMBRACE™ Strategist, will speak on “Knowledge Transfer Techniques & Technologies in the Multigenerational Workplace” on March 21.

“With five generations currently in the workplace, all with significantly different ways of processing information, many companies are challenged with how to effectively communicate with them,” Stilson said. “As part of the presentation, we will explore the changing expectations associated with internal communications, and offer an experiential learning model that organizations can use to successfully promote generational knowledge transfer.”

According to Brisk, it’s critical that organizations develop a strategy that allows for effective knowledge transfer among the multiple generations of employees that make up today’s workforce.

“It’s important to realize that today, more than ever, your employees all have very different ways of processing information and learning new skills,” Stilson added. “By addressing those differences with the right strategy and technology, you can increase the likelihood that critical knowledge will be captured, shared and preserved. It ensures that you will have a more engaged workforce, as well as better continuity of culture, business agility and market adaptability.”

Sensory Technologies specializes in emergent visual technology, including digital signage, videoconferencing, collaboration experiences and audiovisual solutions, that amplifies collaboration and enhances connections with internal and external audiences.

NanoLumens recognizes Sensory Technologies for creative implementation of Chicago Aon Center project

March 2, 2018 by Stephanie Stilson

aonATLANTA, GA – Just weeks after gaining international recognition for its interactive LED visualization solutions, NanoLumens announced Sensory Technologies as one of the winners of its own annual awards competition.

In honoring Sensory Technologies with its NanoLumens Crystal Nixel™ Award, NanoLumens cited the partner company with creative implementation of two massive NanoLumens® LED displays in the Aon Center, one of Chicago’s most iconic skyscrapers. The highly visual digital display measures a total of 840 square feet.

The floor-to-ceiling video wall greets visitors in the building’s south entrance with stunning video images of Chicago. “This is a visual experience unlike anything else in Chicago,” said Joe Hynes, Senior VP of Project Management at JLL, the property management firm for the Aon Center. “It’s so enthralling that people, including tenants, are constantly stopping to take selfies and videos and sharing them on social media.”

As a partner for NanoLumens, Sensory Technologies, an audio visual solutions provider, installed the two 42’w X 10’h 4mm pixel pitch displays as part of the Aon Center’s renovation of its lobby and atrium. Combined, the two displays create a single, ultra-wide visual display.

The partnership on the Aon Center project was seamless, according to Andrew Sellers, technical operations principal at Sensory Technologies. “From an installation perspective, the learning curve for NanoLumens products was extremely intuitive,” he said. “We’ve worked with NanoLumens before in Chicago, and we know that NanoLumens’ solutions minimize complications on large projects.

Sensory Technologies, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., has extensive experience with emergent technology, including large matrixed displays, digital signage, video conferencing, immersive environments and collaborative solutions that elevate messaging and engage audiences. The company also is at the leading edge in installing innovative options like gesture-based interactivity and 3D and curved visual orientations.
