“Bicentennial Experience” Mobile Museum Infused with Technology from Sensory Technologies and VisionThree

Sensory Technologies partners to create a memorable immersive experience that will tour Indiana as part of the bicentennial celebration.

Sensory Technologies and VisionThree, both headquartered in Indianapolis, are known for their unique approach to designing experiences through the use of technology and creative elements. The Bicentennial Experience, a technology-infused mobile museum unveiled last Friday at the Indiana State Fairgrounds by the Indiana Office of Tourism Development (IOTD), is the most recent example of their partnership.

Hoosier visitors are encouraged to reminisce and dream as they interact with several captivating touch displays, customized programming, compelling visual imagery, and immersive audio – all featuring iconic Indiana sights and sounds. The seamless integration of audio-video capabilities and interactive design allows for a rich story to emerge within the mobile unit.

“We were honored to support this important, memorable project for the state’s bicentennial celebration,” said Derek Paquin, partner at Sensory Technologies. “Using technology in novel ways to engage people, to evoke emotions, can be extremely powerful. It’s exciting to give visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in Indiana’s past, present and future – and then leave with a stronger connection to the State.”

The self-contained mobile unit will visit communities across the state making stops in many of the places on the bicentennial torch relay route.

Inside The Bicentennial Experience are 6 different exhibits areas.

From Indiana’s stunning landscapes and waterways, to its most precious natural resources, visitors will encounter some of the state’s most prolific assets in Indiana Treasures. An interactive touchscreen invites them to dig deeper into Indiana’s environments.

Also, visitors can learn about the people who put Indiana on the map in the Indiana Leads exhibit.

Indiana Grows will bring to life Indiana’s unmatched agricultural heritage. It will also heighten every visitor’s sense of smell with a mystery scent station featuring Indiana produce.
Hoosiers are born makers and doers. In Indiana Inspires, visitors will meet notable Hoosiers through a visual touch screen database.

Indiana Innovates is an artifact display case that shows items invented by Hoosiers, made by people from Indiana or built with Indiana products.

Indiana Unites is the finale. The last experience is a powerful video showcasing Indiana’s virtues and illustrating Hoosiers coming together during this time of celebration.

Sensory Technologies® Earns InfoComm International® AV Provider of Excellence Distinction

Sensory is honored to be one of less than 50 companies in the country to receive the APEx certification

Sensory Technologies continues to be recognized by InfoComm International by qualifying as an InfoComm International AV Provider of Excellence, or APEx. The InfoComm APEx program is a recognition program for integration companies and audio visual (AV) design consulting firms dedicated to upholding industry excellence by providing quality service to customers.

Sensory Technologies is honored to be one of less than 50 companies in the country, and the only AV and Collaborative Solutions Provider headquartered in Indiana, to receive the APEx certification. With the recent acquisition of AV Solutions in New York, Sensory Technologies continues to expand its footprint and its technical expertise, adding an additional 12 team members who hold certified technical specialist (CTS) certifications. The combined Sensory Technologies team now has over 53 team members with CTS and 10 advanced CTS certifications (CTS-D, CTS-I and CTS-D/I dual)

The InfoComm APEx program recognizes companies based on the number of employees holding key industry certifications and positive customer survey responses. Sensory featured in the latest IBJ Innovation Issue

Sensory Technologies removes barriers to effective long-distance conferencing.
Take a step into the lobby, and you’ll immediately see a two-story digital message display, twirling, flipping, changing colors.

A few steps to the left, in a room nicknamed the HIVE (for Human Interactive Virtual Environment), you can touch an oversized wall display and take a virtual tour of a house, build and annotate a spreadsheet with someone in another city, or take part in a sales meeting on the other side of the country.

In a back room, engineers are getting ready to ship the computer processors for a large video wall—30 feet by 50 feet—to a Big Ten university’s media school.

There’s a reason this company is called Sensory Technologies.

Sensory Technologies® Acquires AV Solutions®

Midwest leader in audio visual design, integration & collaboration expands reach to northeast

Sensory Technologies is excited to announce the acquisition of AV Solutions®, a division of Toshiba America Business Solutions.

Together, the companies will consist of over 115 employees with extensive experience in helping clients connect with their customers globally through impactful, virtual meetings, improve their internal communication, accelerate their decision making, and deliver memorable, immersive experiences.

“We see this as an unbelievable opportunity to merge two leaders into an even more robust
organization. This is such a natural fit due to our shared belief that it is our responsibility to develop solutions that take into consideration the ‘human factors’ of technology and insure our clients fully realize the value of their investment,” said Bill Riley, Vice President of AV Solutions.

Sensory’s footprint will expand from offices in Indianapolis, Chicago, Ft. Wayne and Dayton to include Syracuse, Buffalo and Rochester. As one of only 35 APEx certified companies globally, the company will continue to offer audio visual design and integration expertise for everything from huddle spaces to boardrooms to customized, immersive experiences. It will continue to invest heavily in its ever growing managed services, including cloud digital signage and cloud videoconferencing, onsite meeting support, asset management and video creation/management.

“This acquisition aligns perfectly with Sensory’s goal of achieving growth. We’ve been very selective in pursuing companies and are confident that we’ve found the perfect fit. The new, combined organization will offer broader and deeper technical knowledge, new product offerings, more choices and greater value to our clients,” said Derek Paquin, Principal at Sensory Technologies.
