Bose McKinney & Evans Case Study

Law Conference Center Designed to Impress

Bose McKinney & Evans’ conference center is an intelligent workspace model.

The Challenge

Law firm Bose McKinney & Evans was moving into new headquarters and needed a modern client-facing conference center high tech in both its interior design and functionality.

The Approach

To keep the center’s appearance sleek and modern, room schedulers and touch panel controls are recessed into walls. The firm’s brand was incorporated into the templates for these panels – adding extra appeal to these highly utilized applications. Other streamlined features include: projectors hidden in ceilings, button or wireless microphones, racks in custom cabinetry, and retractable screens.

The Solution

As important as the clean installation, is the functionality of each piece of the solution. The room schedulers link to Microsoft Outlook, maximizing room utilization and minimizing confusion on room availability. The intuitive and standardized touch panels in each room allow for a novice to utilize the technology at the push of a button. Five 42” digital signage displays allows the marketing department to instantly deliver messages to employees and guests.

The headquarter’s robust practicality is enhanced by several features. The HD videoconferencing room includes a custom table and lighting created specifically to simulate the ideal videoconferencing experience. A video recording and archiving feature in a multi-purpose room allows the firm to easily deploy everything from technology training to legal updates for clients.

The Results

The facility is an intelligent workspace model. Rooms are easy to schedule and use the therefore highly utilized. Attorneys are proud to share the space with guests – so much so that the rooms are often open to clients to use for their meetings free of charge.

The productive space is also energy efficient. Lighting, shade and automatic system shut-off controls support the sustainability initiatives of the firm.

“The attorneys and professionals of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP and Bose Public Affairs Group LLC envisioned a state of the art conference center for our new downtown Indianapolis office, but did not want the technology to detract from the aesthetics of the space. Sensory Technologies worked with our architects and designers form the very beginning of the project to make certain the technology fit out needs while enhancing the beauty of the design.”
