Rochester Institute of Technology Case Study

Auditorium: Hi-Tech Higher Ed

This 151-seat, multi-purpose auditorium is at the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at Rochester Institute of Technology. A/V equipment within this room can be controlled from the lectern. Other Sensory contributions include:

  • 58 projectors and screens throughout the building
  • Touch-screen Crestron control panel
  • Networked A/V system
  • Assistive listening system
  • Side-by-side projection

Since National Institute of Technology for the Deaf is one of the eight colleges at RIT, Golisano Auditorium was designed to include real-time closed captioning for the deaf and hearing impaired. In addition, the auditorium includes: two ceiling-mounted projectors, computer and DVD/VCR connections at the lectern, and a wall-hung LCD screen.
