It was a first for Sensory Technologies – to work within an organization that embraced a “kaizen” philosophy. Kaizen operates on the principle that every employee’s ideas are an asset to the company. Areas devoted to that philosophy, therefore, promote mutual respect and open communication whereby people are able to voice suggestions and ideas. How might technology enhance that vision?
Communicate. Collaborate. Prosper! There are three Kaizen Rooms with two of them designed as divisible rooms that open into one large space. Each of these rooms has an 82” diagonal interactive touch screen monitors and 55” monitors with interactive touch overlays. Each also utilizes technology that enables up to 4 laptops transmitted wirelessly, dedicated PCs on each monitor, and Meeting on the Move™ (MOTM) video conference systems.
An Executive Boardroom boasts a 2×2 55” diagonal video wall that serves as the main presentation system. The room also houses an 82” interactive touch screen monitor on the opposite wall. All source inputs are able to be displayed on the video wall or the 82” monitor. There are laptop inputs at the boardroom table, a dedicated PC, and video conferencing within this system. The audio system consists of nine electric microphones. “They appear out of the ceiling when an audio or video conference is prompted,” remarks Andy Sellers, principal. “It’s a nice, clean, dramatic image.”
An open Café features two 3×3 video walls that can be configured for up to six separate channels of cable television or Franklin Electric digital messaging. The presentation configuration is capable of displaying multiple PC or laptop inputs and video conferencing. Twelve Small Conference Rooms have dual 55” monitors (2 of these rooms have dual 46” monitors), HDMI and VGA connectivity.
In addition, the extensive project included Office Systems Single Display Rooms (12 Rooms), Small Conference Dual Display Rooms (3 Rooms), IT Work Room, Fitness Room, Break Room Monitors, IT Helpdesk and an Engineering Laboratory. Sensory Technologies Services & Room Scheduling and a Corporate Communications Digital Messaging system also are in place.
